  9. 1 tsp Kewra water
  10. Juice of 3 lemons
  11. 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  12. Salt to taste
  13. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  14. 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  15. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  16. 1/2 tsp Chilli flakes
  17. 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  18. 250 gms Chicken
  19. 1 cup Yoghurt
  20. 1/2 tsp Garlic

Steps to make to make Red Chilli Biryani

  1. Soak rice for few hours.
  2. Slice the onion and tomatoes.
  3. Chop half the chillies and cut remaining chillies into 2 pieces length wise.
  4. Finely chop the coriander leaves.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Add in onion and curry leaves.
  7. Fry till light golden.
  8. Add in chicken,garlic,chopped chillies,yoghurt,all the spices and half of tomatoes.
  9. Cook till chicken is tender and masala thickens.
  10. Boil the rice.
  11. Mix color and kewra together.
  12. Add coriander leaves,lemon and remaining tomatoes to the chicken.
  13. Cover the masala with rice.
  14. Heat little oil in a pan.
  15. Add in cumin,chilli flakes and slitted fresh red chillies.
  16. Pour this tarka and colour over rice.
  17. Cook covered on dum for 15 minutes.
  18. Serve hot.
